Under the name Dalton, singer/songwriter Nate Harar creates sincere, subtly eclectic indie rock that features rough instrumentation and hazy production, but is emotionally direct.
Originally from Washington, D.C., Harar moved to Brooklyn and gigged around New York City as part of the band Sugar It's Eli. After the group's breakup in the early 2010s, Harar began the solo project Dalton for his bedroom-recorded Replacements/Dinosaur Jr.-influenced songs. In 2012 Dalton released a self-titled EP that attracted attention from several music blogs. Harar relocated to Los Angeles and continued to work on writing songs for his debut album. In Stereo Records released Dalton's single "Only Names" at the end of 2014, and Dalton's self-titled full-length debut arrived on Fierce Panda Records in early 2015. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
