From Perthshire in Scotland, Patsy Reid is a Scottish musician, composer and educator. Since stepping back from super-folk-group, Breabach in 2011, Patsy has been in constant demand as a session player and arranger, animating others’ projects with her unique blend of fiddle and violin playing. She is a one-woman string quartet, contributing violin, viola and cello to albums by the likes of
Zakir Hussain, Donald Shaw, Kathryn Tickell and Duncan Chisholm, whilst 2018 will see Patsy continue to perform with Julie Fowlis, Donald Shaw and Duncan Chisholm, to name a few. Her fourth solo release, A Glint o' Scottish Fiddle was premiered at Celtic Connections 2018 and is due for release on 16th February 2018.
