Ivan Campo's story began in the year 2000 when the trio met in Preston studying contemporary music at UCLAN.
After graduating, the band started working on what would become their first EP 'Clippings 2' which was self released at the beginning of 2004. Drawing from influences that inspired their song writing (The Beatles, Marc Bolan, Nick Drake), their collection of songs tell tales about life, love and literature.
The Preston/Manchester based group have been seen by a range of audiences at festivals (Secret Garden Party, Wychwood, Kendal Calling, Beat-Herder), and venues across the UK - in 2008 the band were invited to support Shack on tour, and two 'one off' shows for The Pale Fountains at Liverpool Academy and The Shepherds Bush Empire.
After the release of their 2009 EP Super 7, the opening track The Great Procrastinator was used in an episode of E4's 'Skins', and the band received radio play from Bob Harris, Janice Long, (BBC Radio 2), Guy Garvey and Tom Robinson. They have also performed four live sessions for BBC 6 Music on Marc Riley's show.
Their latest album Season of the King was released in October 2017 via Manchester label Debt Records and features the singles 'The Bloodhound and the Fox', 'Could the Devil Be a Gentleman', and 'Crome Yellow'.
