I write clean and positive lyrics and show in my songs that this genre of music is a beautiful art form of poetry, intertwined with a complimentary melody that captures a moment in time.
Giving a glimpse into the song writer's thought provoking suggestion as to what they think best describes the topic of the song. My song writing started as I would write lyrics without cursing to my favorite hip hop songs in the early 90's. I never understood why there were not many rappers that rapped without cussing and thought how amazing it would be to hear their songs without them cussing every other word. So, I set out to be the next Will Smith, as he seemed to be the only artist that really made it main stream without cursing in his songs. This was quite the dream and ambition as I was a small-town boy from the middle of nowhere Kansas and didn’t know one person in the music industry. After meeting my future wife in college, I moved to California with her to where she was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. My wife's brother is the amazing artist and guitarist Brett Starczewski. He overheard me freestyle rapping and asked me if I wanted to try and put that on a song. I said yes and he introduced me to a friend of his that he worked on music projects with. This friend of his is Eddie J. Martin. An amazing artist and musician in his own rite and owner of Kool Katz Productions recording studio in Antioch California. We collaborated and had the pleasure of recording 3 albums together. <br>
