LUCY WOODWARD was born in London but raised in New York by her mother and spent her summers in The Netherlands with father.
Her singing career began in NYC restaurants and coffee shops for tips at night while singing commercials and writing songs in the day. She signed her first record deal with Atlantic Records in 2003 but left the pop world as fast as she came in which led her to release 3 more studio solo albums including Hooked! (Verve Records), Til They Bang On The Door (GroundUP Music) and Hot & Bothered (Barnes & Noble). Lucy recorded the 1.3+ million viewed song “Too Hot To Last” with Snarky Puppy which is featured on their Grammy-winning Family Dinner album and has toured with them internationally on and off since 2012. She filled in last minute touring live singing lead with Pink Martini singing in Croatian, Turkish and Japanese has sung background vocals with Rod Stewart, Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, Joe Cocker and Chaka Khan. Lucy has contributed her vocals and songs to soundtracks including the Big Band Bjork smash “It’s Oh So Quiet” from the Disney movie Ice Princess. Lucy’s fifth album Music!Music!Music! is the debut collaboration with legendary guitar virtuoso Charlie Hunter. The duo tours extensively throughout the US and Europe and will be releasing their 2nd album together in late 2020.
