Originally from Muk-il-TEE-oh, Washington (a little-ish town just north of Seattle), Slake Dransky makes music that he would listen to.
His style of rap is flecked with different shades of his favorite artists and inspirations (he consistently credits artists like Mac Miller, Chance, Saba, Smino, J.I.D and Travis Thompson as powerful influences) but there's no mistaking that the music is deeply personal to him, and the product is a colorful sound with a little something for every ear. If you want to think a bit, dance a little, maybe just flail for sec, catch Slake on stage in his element where it all comes together.
Following up his debut album, Colors, Slake dropped his second project of 2020, and his first mixtape in over three years, on November 27th. Mid is available everywhere now.
