Initially going by the moniker Gameboi, MC Isaac Castor took the Ann Arbor, Michigan hip-hop scene by storm at an alarmingly young age in the early 2010's.
His first mixtape, The Posterchild, was released digitally in 2010. It didn't take long for Castor's name to spread far and wide, and the next few years found the young rapper opening for well-known artists such as Mac Miller, Logic and Pusha-T on their national tours. The next few Gameboi releases featured guest appearances by Jon Connor, XV and Little Brother's Rapper Big Pooh, as well as production by Statik Selektah and Skywlkr. Castor retired the Gameboi alias at the end of 2013 and began performing under his given name. Shortly after, he was featured on the title track of "The Drift EP" by "The Voice" runner-up Michelle Chamuel and producer Arjun Singh, which peaked at #2 on the iTunes Electronic chart and led to Isaac being interviewed by NPR. 2015 saw the release of Castor's Singh-produced album "High Art", which received praise from XXL Magazine and featured collaborations with Boldy James and frequent Vulfpeck vocalist Antwaun Stanley. High Art was followed up by 2016's (Dis)comfort Zone EP, and later, 2018's Old Soul. The latter release featured collaborations with Blu and PEEKABOO. In 2019 Castor signed with Detroit-based record label Middle Finger Music, with whom he will release his upcoming Foul Mouth-produced album, The Rabbit Hole.
