Starewell was a Calgary, hard rock band active over the years 2000 - 2013. In 2005 they won the Calgary portion of the National Songwriting Competition which launched their Canadian indie career.
In 2006 they scored their first top 20 single with "Blurrier", following that with a top 30 effort in "Those who matter". Their most successful release came in 2008 amidst the financial crisis when their single "Broke and out of money" - a song about a touring rock band not equity markets - became an anthem unto itself. The song would stay on the Canadian rock charts for over a year. Their final charting single "28" (a song about a New Brunswick model) crossed top 30, as well. The boys (Brett, Wade, Mark & Chris) still live in and around Calgary and are grateful for all the support their fans have given them over the years. Take care.
