Seattle local Marjorie Nelch dazzles listeners in her self titled debut EP. Her vocal style combines rock ‘n’ roll roots with decades of classical training.
For years she tried to fit inside the pop genre (because that’s what you’re supposed do as a female musician or so she believed) but did not. Instead she used her talent as a multi-instrumentalist to write songs for her voice. Songs that express everything from jagged raw emotion to intimate moments with a siren like voice that leaves the listener wanting more.
The EP’s multi-colored geometric diamond illustrates Marjorie’s journey to overcome self-doubt and take pride in her identity, a struggle all face as we are molded into diamonds.
