2017 marked the year of her debut album release, "Move on Up". Since this release, Mandy has continued to write, record, perform, and release songs and as well as perform nationally with her family band “Small Hat”.
As a songwriter, Mandy was chosen as a “top ten” finalist and prize winner in the 2019 Creative Sonoma Next Level songwriting contest, was runner up in Nashville Rising Song, awarded in 2017 by West Coast Songwriters, and commissioned in 2018 to write a song “Common Ground”.
Women in Music Collective was founded by Mandy Brooks in 2017 and has since produced a benefit concert, as well as donated instruments to Verity and the Ronnie Martin Foundation. In 2019 Mandy spoke on behalf of the collective for the Women’s March in Santa Rosa in front of 3,500 people, and as moderator for the 2020 Balanced Breakfast Music Summit in San Francisco, CA.
In 2016 Mandy founded Christian Creative, a collective of artists and industry professionals supporting each other as they share their gifts and talents within their communities and the world at large.
2018 Mandy won the female artist of the year for the Christian/Gospel category for the Josie Music Awards and was on the 2018 Grammy award “For Consideration” List. Her family band, Small Hat was nominated in multi categories in the 2019 & 2020 Josie Music Awards.
Mandy has a passion for helping other musicians achieve their goals and making a positive change through community through her songs and her music.
