Originally from New Haven, Connecticut Joe Gallagher Jr. moved to Charleston, South Carolina and has accomplished many things as a professional in the music industry.
He's written over 2,000 songs in more than 5 genres and has played over 2,000 live shows. His style as a songwriter is a culmination of many influences and in his formative years he studied all the legends like Bob Marley, The Doors, Johnny Cash, Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Jim Croce, Cat Stevens and the Grateful Dead which ultimately helped to develop his own sound.
Key moments in his career really took shape once he recorded his first album "Side Effects" with notable producer Greig "OB" Session of The Hit Masterz. After the release, Joe was beckoned to LA to play the iconic Whisky a GOGO stage with violinist Christian Carroll who co-founded their new band, Atlas Star. From there, Joe was contacted by Al Gomes of Big Noise and was in contention for a Grammy nomination with the song "Thunder" from the "Side Effects" album. The ballot was cast for Best New Rock Artist and Best Rock Performance.
Furthermore, Joe and his wife Ryan have completed writing and published a novel, “Lumped Up: Dreams To Die For”, a half- fictional tale about a struggling musician with mental illness and alcoholism.
Joe Gallagher Jr.'s life is like a movie so stay tuned and join his squad, follow him on Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, Google, wherever, because you never know what's going to happen next.
