The Big Trouble plays PERCUSSION + VOX + ROCK music.   A hybrid group of percussionists, drummers, and singers writing music together, The Big Trouble features Ivan Trevino, Drew Worden, and Madeleine McQueen.   With marimbas, vibes, drums, guitars, synths, and bells, the group’s debut EP features songs ranging from protest rock, to indie pop, to solo singer/songwriter poetry with a marimba instead of a guitar. The self-titled EP includes four original songs plus a dreamy percussion + voice cover of REDFORD by Sufjan Stevens, recorded in an industrial garage in East Boston. Released with the EP in December 2017 are two music videos for their original tracks RED WHITE BLUE ORANGE and ECHO CHAMBER.
With one foot in Boston, MA and the other in Austin, TX, the group is currently booking concerts and university residencies nationwide for its 2019-2020 seasons. The Big Trouble’s first full length album is anticipated in early 2019.   The Big Trouble performs with Zildjian Cymbals and Evans Drumheads and is made possible in part by a generous grant from The Boston Foundation.
