Twisted Wires, led by Houston, Texas, native Richard Durham, taps into a palette composed of spectral night moves and melodic memories that blend hauntingly with his deep, velvety vocals.
Never content to make conventional dance music, Twisted Wires’ music unfolds in suspenseful shifts of synth arpeggiations, noirish electronic manifestations, and unbridled, soul-moving dance cuts laden in unearthly reverb. Twisted Wires made their first appearance on Italians Do It Better in 2009 with the visceral and engaging “One Night At The Raw Deal” which LA Weekly said combined the “tense atmosphere of the horror and suspense of film scores... with an ethereal approach to dance music.” In 2013, their song “Half Lives” was featured on the Italians compilation After Dark 2. The moving Struck Twice 12-inch followed in 2016. Their most recent release is the CD compilation Half Lives. A full-length LP is in the works.
