In 2021 The BlueBirds will become a collective, in which Krystl & Rachèl Louise will continue leading and performing as permanent “Birds.” They’re currently collaborating on a new album (expected release: May, 2021) with several female vocalists and songwriters. Yori Swart, Kris Berry, Stephanie Struijk, Janne Schra, Birgit Schuurman, Shary-An, Leonie Meijer and Hadewych Minis will be performing on the record as Special Guest Artists. Elske deWall will remain a part of the collective, but will be giving priority to her solo projects in the near future.
The BlueBirds’ new single "Someone I Can't Outgrow" (February 5th), expresses a new sound together with Singer/Songwriter Yori: indie, folky and even cinematic at times. The three women wrote this song about devotion and surrender in love.
With these musical collaborations, The BlueBirds want to highlight that the Netherlands holds many talented and inspiring women!
