A group of guys are sitting by the beach hung over and discussing the conquests of yesterday. One of the guys is explaining how he's bummed out that the evening didn't end with anything else than making out. After a somewhat constructed pause the drummer breaks the silence with a perplexed statement. «making out is cool»
Because hey, why the hell not? In a society where sex is the big gold medal the power-pop provocateurs in Shredz goes out and makes a surf-rock-inspired song to shamelessly making out in public. With their best Beach Boys impression, colorful as the early 90s and kicking musically in a direction of britpop, and everything is over in less than three minutes. Just like sex, or making out.
"We think it's a shame that it's only okay for people to have fun if the gal of the moment is beyond lovely" bass player Magnus Gjeruldsen explains.
"With this song we want to send this message to everyone alone who's sitting it out because they're afraid of what their friends will say: Get it on. Love is dirty, imperfect and in the moment." laughs vocalist Tor Hansen. Together with guitarist Kjetil Ljådal and drummer David Solberg they're the Oslo-based power-pop band Shredz.
The band is made up of songwriter and vocalist Tor Hansen, drummer David Solberg, guitarist Kjetil Ljådal og bassist Magnus Gjeruldsen.
