Jaala will massage you in metaphorical ways you never knew you loved. Like the roots of a tree Jaala is ever growing, pruned only by themselves and never by the expectations of the public.
Like a pair of crappy old jeans you have unstitched and restitched, Jaala are always working to make the best goddam pair of jeans they have ever imagined in their wild collective noggin. Intricately decorated and lovingly crafted, their music comes from a place of deep focus and care. Since the 2015 release of critically acclaimed debut album ‘Hard Hold’, Jaala has transformed into a dreamier, more pop focused creature with the addition of Carolyn Schofield on synthesizer. Still ever telepathic and strange, the new direction feels more like you are floating above all things as opposed to the tumbling guitar orientated waterfalls and fire pits of their previous work. Cop a feel in April 2018 when album number two ‘Joonya Spirit’ is unleashed upon the world in all it’s untouchable glory.
