Salvador are a young, new, guitar band from Framlingham, Suffolk, who recently released their debut EP.
Four Suffolk school boys, hailing from Ed Sheeran’s home town, came together through their love of guitar music. Lucas Evans and Jan Ashwell, the founding members of the band, both taught themselves guitar at the age of fourteen after originally being classically trained musicians. After picking up drummer, Jude Machan, and bassist, Felix Church, the band recorded their debut EP in the summer of 2018 at Decoy Studios in Suffolk, the base of world-renowned mixer, Cenzo Townshend. The band have been building their following, performing at local venues (Bury St Edmunds’ The Apex and The Hunter Club, Ipswich’s The Smokehouse) and being played on local radio (BBC Music Introducing in Suffolk, Cambridge 105 Radio) as well as BBC Radio 6 Music over the past year. In March they broke onto the music scene with the release of their debut EP and a sell out headline show in their hometown of Framlingham. This summer they have been chosen by BBC Introducing in Suffolk to support Ed Sheeran at Chantry Park, Ipswich, on the penultimate night of his Divide tour, the most attended and highest grossing tour of all time.
