Brazilian artist that has gathered a diverse musical (and poetic) background, Tiago Araripe merges styles and influences that extend from Brazil's Northeast popular culture to international pop music he came to know on the radio as a child.
While in São Paulo he recorded “Cabelos de Sansão” - an acknowledged vinyl album reissued in CD 26 years later - in wich the singer and composer plays along with a variety of musical genres. The freshness of sound and intense combination of influences has been confirmed in his following album "Baião de Nós" and in his EP "Na Mala, Só a Viagem" - the last one also the name of his new concert. Araripe released "Tudo no Lugar" last January, his first song recorded in Portugal. Bringing together musicians from three different nationalities and featuring the Portuguese singer Mara the single "Tudo no Lugar" weaves Moorish roots also found in Brazilian music with Portuguese fado, in a sweet embrace of cultures and accents. Tiago Araripe's songs have a strong poetic presence, sometimes in humorous rhymes but also through sensitive and reflective lyrics. They all can be found in the main music streaming services.
