Aeris Roves began to find his place – in every sense – through writing and then producing his own music. His debut mixtape, 'Moon By Island Gardens', befits a childhood raised on The Drifters, Roy Orbison and northern soul, with equal inspiration coming from the confessional R&B of Frank Ocean (another artist to go here - Daniel Caesar?) as the rise of UK rap. Suitably, the mixtape was conceived largely late at night, in a secluded spot in Greenwich which also provided the tape with its name. With panoramic views over the city he has come to call home - and space for reflection – Aeris Roves' intimate, cathartic songwriting marks the sound of an artist whose future looks set to get a whole lot brighter.
