Keili Fernando is an independent folk/pop singer-songwriter from Southern California. As a young, shy girl, her love for songwriting began when she learned to express herself through the art of song.
She quickly became known as "the girl with the acoustic guitar" and played Motown classics and folk tunes by Peter, Paul and Mary. With the support of her parents and little brother, she played at open mic nights in the community.
In 2012, her geometry teacher asked her to play an original song at her wedding. There, Keili met Nick Papageorge, who produced her first single, "Little Surprises - Single". After graduating from high school, Keili attended University of California, San Diego, where she studied Communication and Theatre (Stage Management). In between her studies, she performed at shows on campus and also released her second single, "Notice Me - Single." She also partnered with Triton Television and released her first two music videos. She later joined Triton Television and found another passion, film production.
After graduating from UCSD, Keili decided it was time to work on her passion project. With her playful rhythms and picturesque lyrics, she released her debut EP, "411," featuring "Cardboard Spaceship" and "Love of Mine" (both singles aired on KPFK Radio), with Mike Willson. Keili teamed up with her friends to co-produce music videos for the record. The EP release was co-hosted with Sofar Sounds in Orange County, CA.
