I had contacted Bruce Lundvall at Blue Note/EMI (who signed Nora Jones, James Taylor, Miles Davis, Springsteen) who loved her albums so much he featured her on his Sirius Blue Note show saying "She's a force of nature. Amazing singer and songwriter, original vocalist, wonderful trumpet player and multi-instrumentalist. She writes songs that come directly from the heart."
In 2013 Elizabeth asked me to help with her new album THE BRIDGE. Based on her previous albums THE DREAM and ON PATROL WITH THE JAZZ POLICE, I wasn’t sure; they were masterpieces. But she is unusual, has played all over the world and she runs on instinct. “I want to tell stories, reach people. Music is magical.”
Well, connect she did and the result was album THE BRIDGE, which David Hoffman claims is a “magnificent album in the finest tradition of Joni Mitchell, yet she has that unique voice that is hers!”
Bill Champlin (Chicago, The Sons of Champlin, etc) said “'If it was me I'd make it a law that everyone on the earth should hear that song (The Bridge). Absolutely beautiful. Awesome lyrics and the girl is soooo musical."
