Budapest is a Peruvian audiovisual band that combines electronica, choral singing and fine pieces of Peruvian folklore. Their songs are inspired by the contemplation of nature, landscapes of past eras and places hidden in memory. Budapest members are Giuliana Origgi (Vocals), Maribel Tafur (Synths, Beats) and Ernesto Ankalli (Charango, Guitar). In 2017 the band released their EP Debut ‘Conífera’ through a televised audiovisual concert by Movistar Musica (Peru) and at Disco Grande's RTVE Radio Show (Spain). In 2019 they released their singles ‘Young Ghost’ and ‘Chaka’. They released collaborations with Pamela Rodriguez ('Tigres en la Niebla', 2020) and journalist Ian Urbina ('Blackout', The Outlaw Ocean Music Project, 2021). Budapest is currently finishing their second album that will feature songs in Spanish and English. This record will include several songs that are nourished by andean traditional sounds, incorporating them into the band's unique ethereal and timeless atmosphere. The band has performed at BIME, Primavera Pro, Días Nórdicos, Paraíso Vacío, Alive, Disco Grande radio show (Radio 3, RTVE), Movistar Música TV channel, Espacio Fundación Telefónica, among others.
