Ian Schranz, best known by the stage name Bark Bark Disco, is a Maltese indie musician. Schranz first began his career as the drummer of the band Beangrowers before establishing himself as a solo artist.
Schranz released a demo single called "Song for the Lovers" in 2013 and following this, organisers asked him to open for Bonnie Prince Billy in a masonic cemetery in Valletta. Since then Bark Bark Disco, have toured extensively around Europe, USA and Japan and have collaborated with other artists such as JOON, Stanley Brinks and The Wave Pictures, Johnny Jewel, Beangrowers, The Shh and Jeffrey Lewis among others.
When not working on music, Schranz owns and runs his bar, the legendary Hole in the Wall in his hometown of Sliema, Malta.
