While picking the funky raisins out of delicious cakes such as Balearica, Kraut, Nu-Disco and 80’s pop, they have invented a language that feels familiar, yet new and unheard of.
They’ve taken some of the greatest musical notions from different eras, melting them in a golden pot shaped like a palm tree. It’s the funk and disco of the 70’s, it’s the pretentions and soundscapes of the 80’s. It’s the glorious guitars and pop melodies of the 90’s, the electronic beats of the 00’s and the eclecticism of the present decade. It’s electronic music played on both electronic as well as analog instruments. It’s digital yet ageless, futuristic yet nostalgic.
Live on stage they move effortlessly from hazy and happy, to trippy and techno-heavy in one fluid and semi-improvisational set. It’s where you should be - on a far away island, smiling and dancing on a beach called Yunton.
