Pianist, hammondist, keyboardist, composer and producer Gianluca Di Ienno is appreciated in the italian and european jazz scene for his inventive, versatility, sensitivity and the ability to contribute with a personal aesthetic concept in a wide range of musical genres and creative scenarios.
He has been involved as a sideman in great artist's projects and recording in the music business, from pop music to jazz music to experimental and sound design music. He recorded for BMG Sony Music, RTI-Medusa Film, KromaKi, CAM Jazz, Tuk Music, Dodicilune, Dot Time Records, Abeat Records. He performed in Kamani Auditorium (New Dehli), Savoy Teatteri (Helsinki), Recoleta Cultural Center (Buenos Aires), Steinway Piano Hall (Dusseldorf), Radisson Hall (Montevideo), AMR (Gevene), Mohammed V (Rabat), Radio Koper Live (Koper), Mazda Hall (Pune, Mumbay) and many more. He recorded about 20 LPs as a sideman and 4 as bandleader. In 2017 he founded Mitsuhide Music, a brand new team of producers, songwriters and performers, working in a wide range of projects around the sound design world. He started loving music at 3 (playing a transistor organ) and at 7 he began classical piano. Bachelor degree in Jazz Music (110/110 cum laude), he has expanded his artistic and performance's knowledge through meetings and lessons with great music masters like John Taylor, Larry Goldings, Kenny Werner or Fred Hersch and Sam Yahel in NYC.
