The duo began as a personal project of singer Lillian Cutts, in Washington, DC where the two artists had gone to school together. After reworking an old track Entertain Me they began to work together more frequently. Cutts would travel to Bonaventure’s Brooklyn apartment and he to DC so they could continue to work. Over the next year CUTTS would become a duo. The two musicians spent the majority of 2018 on a bus between NY and DC, during which time they wrote and produced a string of new singles: “The Way Out,” “Time For You," "Villain" and "Breathe".
In the summer of 2018 Lillian relocated to Brooklyn, NY and into the same apartment building as Peter. With their commute cut down to 3 flights of stairs they got to work producing their next slew of singles. Through 2019 they. released “Be Bad,” “Waiting,” and Honey. They played shows around New York and quickly became regulars at Manhattan venue Mercury Lounge as well as the dive bars around their Bushwick apartment.
Their next single “All my life,” intended for Lillian’s sister on her wedding day will be released later this summer. They continue work on their first EP which will be announced this year.
