Chorley born singer/songwriter Kevin Simm has had a fairly colourful career in music so far...
Starting out in the pubs and clubs of Lancashire at the age of 17 he honed his craft as a singer before going on to become the lead singer of local indie band AnAlien. He then appeared on ITV's 'Stars In Their Eyes' at the age of 18 as Simon Fowler (lead singer of Ocean Colour Scene).
After being kicked out of his performing arts course at college, Kevin went on to do a summer season in Blackpool before going on to audition for the TV show 'Popstars' where he finished in the top 10 out of tens of thousands of applicants. Simm and 4 of the other auditionees formed the pop group Liberty X and went on to have a successful career as a band with a UK number 1 single , double platinum album and Brit Award to name a few highlights.
After the band split, Kevin wrote his own album 'Brand New' and also co-wrote a number 1 single in South Korea for K Pop band Super Junior.
After a brief reunion with Liberty X for the 'ITV 2' show 'The Big Reunion' he decided to audition for the 'BBC' show 'The Voice UK'. Singing Sia's Chandelier in his blind audition he wowed the judges and all four turned for him, he went on to win the competition and the blind audition now has in excess of 13 million views on youtube.
Soon after winning the show Kevin released his album 'Recover'
Kevin is now the lead singer of multi million record selling band WET WET WET, touring the U.K in 2019.
