Over the next few years, he studied Music Production at Brighton University, whilst simultaneously taking his one-man show to practically every club in the city. Constantly performing gave Marlon the opportunity to develop his unique sound. When combined with his introspective writing style and stirring lyricism, the result is a slick brand of electronic soul, all self-produced. Marlon is a true millennial artist: writer, lyricist, multi-instrumentalist, producer- and his artistry is an independently realised project from beginning to end.
Marlon debuted his EP The Little Things in 2017, leading to his name being booked into coveted venues renowned for breaking major artists: the O2 Academy Islington, Notting Hill Arts Club, Cargo and the Bedford to name a few. Channelling the enchanting subtlety of artists like James Blake and Arlo Parks, the soul of Sampha and the slow-burning groove of Tom Misch, Marlon Percy is exciting, unique and charming- and he's undoubtedly cut out to be an indie sensation.
