In 2015, Albin posted a demo of his song “Lou Lou” on his Soundcloud page and began to gain notice. Albin worked with producer Björn Yttling on his Lovers
EP, which he self-released in 2016. Lou Lou
started having considerable success on Spotify, quickly racking up millions of streams and reaching #1 on Spotify's Viral 50 chart in five countries. He signed with Astralwerks later that year, and the label re-released the Lovers
In 2017, NPR Music named him one of their must-see artists at SXSW, and featured him as part of their popular Tiny Desk Concert series, writing that “his voice is breathtaking, soulful, thunderous and impossible to ignore.” Albin made his debut at the Bonnaroo Music + Arts Festival and released his Bloodshot
EP in the summer of 2017.
