As a songwriter, Nuss often tells a whole story in each song, and V starts off with a Grimm Fairy Tale/Girl in the Woods vibe on "Lost."
Then it's on to "The Subway" condensing many years of a recurring dream into 4 minutes.
"Glory Days," the first song she wrote after her lengthly hiatus is about her trepidation over putting her feet back into the musical waters.
Finally, we get "Writer," which is maybe about empowerment? yet ultra dreamy.
Each of her past releases holds gems, from the poppy, "Time Capsule," (Action Hero Superstar) used on Party of Five and Dawson's Creek, to her unique cover of "Eye of the Tiger" (Round 3) originally used in a movie starring Howard Stern's wife Beth Ostrosky.
Live, Nuss often performs solo where her percussive guitar perfectly compliments the rise and fall (and range) of Nuss's voice and songs.
