New York born, jazz/pop vocalist, Amber Chiang, always knew she wanted to spend her life doing music and art. She received her musical training at the University of Massachusetts. Her jazz styling influences are a combination of Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughn and Betty Carter as well as from Brazilian and pop artists. She has appeared around the world as a soloist singing jazz and pop, including at the Blue Note, NYC; and was the featured soloist at the 2000 Southern California Summer Special Olympics.
She received “Honorable Mention” for two of her original songs from the Billboard World Song Contest; and produced a CD of 13 original songs.
Inspired by her love of music, she has been teaching piano and voice for over 20 years.
