Bellingham, WA rock band SANOMA blends the Northwest’s garage rock and roll heritage with surf and spaghetti western elements to create a cinematic surf western sound. With the belief that music should tell stories with and without words, the band aims to create narratives with their songs that take the listener on a journey exploring themes of loss, brokenness, sin, regret, acceptance, and reconciliation.
SANOMA formed in 2012 out of a longtime collaboration between Nate Beede (guitar, vocal) and Cory Dement (drums) who for many years imagined an americana rock & roll sound influenced by the pre-British Invasion greats of American Rock & Roll such as Link Wray, Dick Dale, Duane Eddy, etc. Luke McGee (bass) and Nick Rubert (hammond, rhodes) joined the project after working with Nate while backing Seattle singer songwriter Dana Little.
