The Owl-Eyes began as the solo-project of Ethan P. Teel, a multi- instrumentalist with a keen ear for good songwriting and rocknroll.
At age 14, Ethan joined the Kansas City School of Rock House Band and opened for the likes of Heart, Jason Bonham, Kansas, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and countless others. Teel attended McNally Smith College of Music - obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Music business before the school’s untimely, and tragic closure. Hallelujah Hysteria is a culmination of all the hard work and techniques developed during Ethan’s time at McNally Smith. The album was partly recorded in the McNally Smith studio spaces, with the singles recorded at Cloverleaf Audio in St. Paul, a vibrant local studio established by another McNally Alumni, Matthew Groso. Notable influences that can be heard through The Owl-Eyes music includes Talking Heads, System of a Down, Pink Floyd, Foo Fighters, and The Flaming Lips. The Owl-Eyes are always watching, we hope you're listening.
