Pershagen’s music moves through vast soundscapes and is often described as a dynamic soundtrack where the listener is drawn into an almost meditative state of mind, both live and on record. The music illustrates abrupt emotional caste: loneliness and abandonment takes its expression in desperation, anger and grief, while it contains something dreamy and hopeful. Always with a clear core of improvisation and musical freedom.
Originally formed by Johan, Jimmie and Miranda, it was the common love for Neil Young’s music that started it all. They recorded and toured as a trio for two years, before reforming as a quartet. Gained by Theo Stocks (Pedal Steel) and Andreas Sahlin (Bass), the band made their first appearance as a quartet at Krökbacken Festival 2016.
