<div>Ohmega Watts was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, by West Indian parents from Jamaica, W.I.
<br></div><div><br></div><div>He grew up listening to all types of music including reggae, calypso, soca, 80′s radio pop and hip-hop, but only started to take a serious interest in music around 11 years old. He gravitated towards hip-hop, listening to “Golden-era” artists including Run–D.M.C., LL Cool J, Big Daddy Kane, Dana Dane, BDP, Eric B. and Rakim, Pete Rock and CL Smooth and Gang Starr, but the artists who influenced him the most were artists in the Native Tongues such as A Tribe Called Quest, Jungle Brothers, De La Soul, and Black Sheep.
Producing since 1997 &amp; MCing since '93, Watts' resume includes two solo records on Ubiquity Records, The Find (2005) and Watts Happening (2007). MC/producer of the group Lightheaded (Tres Records) and a 7" under the name M64 with Ragen Fykes on vocals released on Record Breakin' (2009.) Ohmega is also an avid DJ who has toured extensively in the U.S. and abroad including Australia, the E.U. and Japan, expanding his record collection as he goes. He's performed/DJ'd alongside such artists/bands including: Galactic, Lifesavas, The Breakestra, De La Soul, Quantic, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Waajeed, Ge-Ology, Kon &amp; Amir, DJ Spinna, Bobbito Garcia, Rich Medina, Cosmo Baker, and on. He's also a freelance Graphic Designer/Photographer, a full-time creative. <br></div><div><br></div><div>Pieces of a Dream was released on Mellow Orange Oct. 2013 which was 5 years since his last solo endeavor.</div><div><br></div><div>Stay tuned.</div>
