Talking Ties’ repertoire is formed by famous standards from the Swing Era and classic Jazz compositions by the most important characters of that period such as Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Louis Armstrong and Nat “King” Cole.
The show, which is dynamic and spectacular, aims at introducing Swing to wider audiences and approaches a variety of Jazz sub-genres such as Ragtime, Gospel and Boogie-Woogie.
The trio has been together since 2017 and has been playing in important venues even collaborating with famous jazz musicians such as the multi-instrumentalist Mauro L. Porro.
The unique aspect of the band is the skill of playing and singing simultaneously, creating together three-part harmony arrangements of greatest hits of the Swing Era, like Straighten up and fly right and Singing in the Rain.
They often perform in social dance events for Lindy Hoppers organized by the Dance Schools Swing Mood, Tuballoswing and Swinging up, like Swing in Spring Festival 2018, Florence.
Depending on the situation, the trio cooperates with Charles Ferris on Trumpet and Trombone and three professional singers: Giulia Bartolini, Giulia Galliani and Federica Gennai and
