Formed in 1995 by Guitarist/Singer Travis Wachendorf and drummer Michael Wood, the band originally known as UNLISTED came together when bass player Mike Jewell joined the fray in mid-June of that year.
Heavily influenced by many of the '90s grunge and alternative artists including Soundgarden and Monster Magnet, they began writing songs with a focus on hook and energy.
1998 brought the addition of new drummer A. Brad Hazelton along with the release of the first official full album, titled "Wide Awake & Screaming" which was recorded over a 5 day period with Phoenix producer Larry Elyea. It received limited airplay and local Phoenix radio shows.
In 1999 the band officially prepended "MIGHTY" to their name and shortly thereafter began recording a few songs for what would later become THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN (released in 2002).
As an unsigned band, Mighty Unlisted still had a passion for making music and continued to write and play shows in the Phoenix area in the following years.
In 2012, they released their 2nd official album, the self-recorded and produced "Tentacles" with their current lineup of Wachendorf, Hazelton and bass player Cedric Cummings. Mighty Unlisted continues to write and record new music and release it directly online.
