Three young musicians from Switzerland with their stunning and heartwarming interpretation of contemporary popmusic are on a journey to the eternal city of Rome. Their latest album „Road To Rome“ (produced with David Kosten in London, 2017) is a song collection about traveling, both mentally and physically and describes the idea that each individual is longing for its personal „Rome“.
While every song is featured by a symbol, the frontside of the artwork shows a symbol which can be interpreted as a sector of a map. An uneven road with branches and dead ends describes how unpredictable the future is. The prominent sign is featured in most of the bands appearances.
On their circuitous road to rome the band is performing at Festivals, sweaty clubs and intimate living room sessions. At some stops in between, they film special unplugged sessions of their songs. You will find these clips, shot all over Europe, on the official website. www.babashrimps.com/home
The new single „Hurry Hurry“ (2018) is the official soundtrack of the olympic wintergames in Pyeongchang, South Korea. It`s featured in all transmissions on the Swiss national radio and TV.
