Comprised of husband and wife, Ryan and Angelica Hay, PINK SKY channels their turbulent personal stories of loss and trauma into immersive audio-visual beauty, and seeks to build community while creating their music and visual art. PINK SKY hosts an art and music series (HAY YAH House Shows) that features two synth-based artists and two visual artists each month during the spring and summer, and they host Synth Night, an event that features regional synth-based artists at one of their favorite venues, The Pyramid Scheme.
Angelica recently completed an MFA in Painting and an MA in Visual and Critical Studies from Kendall College of Art & Design. Formerly a college English instructor, Ryan has an MA in English and is currently studying Recording Technology.
PINK SKY's second release, the experimental EP "It Doesn't Matter / Yr Time Is Ending" is out on all platforms on May 24th. The EP was recorded in late 2018 during a single-take improvisational exploration, and was inspired by texts on Zen Buddhism, the decline of our oceans, and the healing power of art and music. The single "The Journey (Movement III)" is out now.
PINK SKY will be releasing their next LP in Fall 2019 and will be touring throughout 2019 and 2020.
