Born and raised in the Boston area, Cam Meekins arrived emphatically on the national scene in February 2011 with the release of his first official mixtape '1993.' Still in high school at the time, Meekins rode the wave of '1993' straight into a deal with Atlantic Records and relocated to Los Angeles where he crafted his debut album 'Lamp City.' The album saw its release in May 2013 and reached number 3 on the iTunes charts, setting Meekins up for a breakout year that concluded with his first national tour.
Since 'Lamp City' and the follow-up EP, 'PEACE,' Meekins parted ways with Atlantic and has gone on to release two additional full length albums - '1993 Vol. 2' and 'Stories From The Green Line' - fully independently via his self-owned record label, Lamp City Records. Fans witnessed a strong resurgence from Meekins in 2017, and the now Brooklyn-based rapper/producer is currently working on a new album to be released in 2018.
