West Side of Orlando on Lanette Street to be specific, Lpb Poody’s music is
sharpened with the pain of the streets and pierces the hearts of every Orlando
native. LPB stands for “Light Pole Baby” it’s a representation of kids that were
forced to jump off the porch at an early age in order to provide for their family. He
coined the term Light Pole Baby because he was raised by the streets similar to how
a light pole is raised up on the street. At an early age Poody’s interest in music began
when he started to learn how to DJ. Then at the age of 12 had his first rap experience
by recording it on a smart phone with some friends. His first time ever performing
was at an elementary talent show. It was then when he fell in love with the
performing aspect of music. Shortly after turning 13 and falling victim to the streets
at an early age, Poody has already witnessed close childhood friends receive life
sentences and escape death. Poody acknowledged the extreme amount of feedback,
views, and comments he would get when posting his music and quickly realized that
he could actually make a career out of creating music and doing what he truly loves.
Lpb Poody’s major goal in the music industry is to not only make a name for
himself, but to also become the GREATEST artist in the rap game period.
