And to date, Thomas has made almost 600 shows in 20 countries, from SXSW Festival in Austin and Paradiso in Amsterdam to Münich Film Fest and Melodica Festival Reykjavík. He has supported acts like Damien Jurado, Ed Harcourt, The Kills, Ariel Pink and Ryley Walker.
His latest album, Avian, was released late 2014 and became his best received so far in Swedish main media, such as in Sweden’s biggest evening paper Aftonbladet (4 out of 5 review plus mention among the year’s best singles) and Swedish national tv’s blog PSL. It also got 7 out of 10 in British magazine Uncut, naming him one of Europe’s hidden prizes.
His fourth album Arctic was released 2010 and was nominated to the prestigious Swedish indie music award Manifest, and around the same time Thomas was featured in the French photo book Swedish Music Landscape. The album before, The Lake Acts Like an Ocean (2008) (by then under the alias Thomas Denver Jonsson) was picked up by British high profile media such as BBC, Independent, Uncut, The Word, The Sun and Rock Sound Magazine. The Times listed him among six acts who have taken Swedish pop further since ABBA.
