Brian Alexander

  1. 1.
Growing up in the woods of Northern Michigan, Brian Alexander found his love for folk music early on.
Drawing from influences like John Denver, CSNY, James Taylor, and Bob Dylan, Brian began crafting his own sound, leading to his move to Nashville in 2011.
Upon arriving in Nashville, Brian’s first home was on a “rocky top” mountain 45 minutes from downtown. He soon found an apartment on Music Row, but the following year, he found himself back on a new mountain. It must have been equal fate when Alexander relocated for the 2nd time to Music Row. Bluegrass and Country music undeniably found their way into his heart as he gradually adopted their instrumentation.
In his debut "Mountain" EP, Brian gives a 20 minute look into his world of family, love, life, and poetry. From the cry of the pedal steel, to the freeing solos of the electric guitar, you'll be transported to the Rocky Mountains.. to I-40 westbound toward California.. to a beautiful wedding.. and to the nightly mystery of a moon-kissed forest.
“Telluride”, the EP’s lead single, has received radio play across the US and in Europe. The song was inspired by Brian’s Great, great Grandfather, who was a miner in Telluride, CO and also worked for the railroad. A music video was released for “Telluride” in 2016, which spread like wildfire in Colorado and developed a humble fanbase there.
