When you think of the new and future R&B/Pop/Alternative artist today it's rare you find one whose roots run deep in Brooklyn.
The most populated and diverse borough of New York usually brings hip-hop and indie rock to mind; but Brooklyn native Adrian Daniel is repping his hometown as the future of R&B/Pop/Alternative. He has been recognized by Okayplayer as one of the 11 Top R&B Neo Soul 2020 artist Pushing the Sound into the New Decade, and also being noted by music journalist as "one of the reasons R&B is exciting again." Adrian Daniel planted his marker in the industry with his self-released albums, 'Disillusions' in 2016 & 'Flawd' in 2018, that have received critical acclaim from the likes of Billboard, FADER, NPR and more. Recently BET gave Adrian Daniel a shout out as one of the very artist alongside Summer Walker, H.E.R, Baby Rose, & Mahalia responsible for Neo-soul living on into the new decade. A rare and unique talent influenced by Michael Jackson & Kanye West, Adrian's was never one to conform. MTV described his music as dark R&B, arousing, revealing, with elements of pop, soul, hip-hop and electronic grooves entrancing listeners with his lyrical story telling. NPR Austin 100 & Ones to Watch relates his music to R&B greats but a more modern version propelled by a commanding falsetto. His new single "Nights" recently charted at #173 on iTunes Global Chart.
