It wasn’t until the age of 16 when Reis first laid hands on a piano. Reis later studied music performance at Coventry University, where he recited pieces of great magnitude from Chopin’s ‘Tristesse’ to Liszt’s ‘La Campanella’.
Upon graduating in 2013, Reis turned his attention back to music composition and In February 2016, Reis launched his debut album ‘Words Unspoken’ at The Birmingham Symphony Hall. The launch was a success, receiving a standing ovation and meriting Reis with the High Sheriff Award for outstanding musical contribution within his region. ‘Words Unspoken’ went onto gain international attention bringing success to Reis’ early career, featuring on both the artist rosters of Whisperings Solo Piano Radio and Enlightened Piano Radio. The album is a dedication to Reis’ older brother Jason Nicholas Dixon who sadly passed away when Reis was just 17.
Reis is now ready to unveil his long awaited second album ‘Awake to Dream’. The album will be released under the label Blue Spiral Records on September 21st 2020.
Reis describes his compositions as Emotive Classical. Composing for film is something that Reis would like to pursue in the near future.
