Eclectic is the way to describe Monica Blaire. MB has worked with artists ranging from Roy Ayers, PPP, Dwele, Black Milk, ZO!, and rocked historical venues including Joe's Pub (NY), The Shrine (CHI), and the DIA (in her hometown, Detroit). Monica's latest project is experimental music with a minimal approach that is dubbed "sound art". She is playing with the everyday around her and creating audio snapshots of her experiences. This music and the process of making it is introducing Ms. Blaire as much more than just a singer. She is an MC, Producer, and just all around musical Air-Bender. Monica's latest projects include experimental music for a film score (RockRubber45s 2019) and her latest single release “FRAME”, which sets the stage for her continued dominance as an a cappella driven lofi beatmaker and off-kilter MC who loves to sing. She is solidifying her place as an ever evolving creative presence. Monica Blaire is more than an artist. She is an experience.
Monica’s Upcoming Full Length Project , ‘How to Dress Well in the Dark’ will be released on Mahogani Records in 2020
