Her sound primarily takes influence from artists such as; Jojo, Brandy and Daniel Caesar, taking from this a fusion of Old School Rnb, Soul and Neo-Soul - a sound of which she has soon become recognised for.
When it comes to her live performance, Sylvia prefers to do a more stripped back version of her material, where the raw energy, depth to her vocals and intimate lyricism really shine through.
Sylvia has also stepped out of her typical field of music to collaborate with other artists such as Hatter (rapper/producer), Mrisi (conscious rapper/pianist) and pop/house group Ku De Ta - with their first release together called 'What You Do'. (((Ku Du Ta have been doing bits mainstream wise so this will be good to work on for the BBC radio push, Sylv has been working with them for a year and that release came out last month....))))
Her future work is set to delve further in collaborating with electronic music producers to continue the exploration of where her sound can go. In the mean time she is in high demand from producers and musicians alike, and her solo project has been awaited with absolute anticipation.
