Born in a sleepy Wisconsin town a few hours south of Minneapolis, Minn., Jordan Lyga – aka LYGA – has been writing and recording music since 2002.
Jordan’s first taste of musical success came as the lead singer for the pop-rock outfit, The Fast Track, which he started with his friend and former bandmate, Phil Petersen. The band would go on to record three EP's and tour the United States extensively, opening for Boys Like Girls, Allstar Weekend, and the Smoking Popes, while also making several appearances on the Vans Warped Tour and achieving regional radio success. After The Fast Track disbanded in 2011, Jordan moved to Minneapolis to join forces with fellow Minnesota songwriter Phil Solem of The Rembrandts, best known for the #1 Hit and Friends theme song "I'll Be There For You". Together, the duo wrote and recorded Jordan's debut solo album "Who I Am" under the stage name Alex Jordan. After several music videos and a run of shows supporting Allstar Weekend and Honor Society, Jordan and Phil began work on a follow-up album, enlisting the help of producer Jordan Schmidt (Florida Georgia Line, Motion City Soundtrack, Jason Aldean). This would become the Everybody Knows EP. In conjunction with the album’s release, Jordan announced he would be leaving the Alex Jordan name behind in favor of his last name, LYGA. Jordan is currently working on his third studio album with producer John Fields (Jonas Brothers, Switchfoot, Andrew W.K.). The first single is Cloud 9. ~ CM
