Julie Curly is a singer-songwriter from Montreal, Canada.
From her first full-length album in French (Confessions, 2014) to her first English single Silk Stocking District (2015) and EP called Flower Power Soul (2017), funded by FACTOR and Government of Canada, pop sounds always stand as a way to express authentic feelings.
On December 1st, she launched En plein coeur, as a tribute to those who listen to their hearts, despite the storms that go through their lives. Launched December 1st, on World AIDS Day, the song is also an advocacy tool for the cause and the singer-songwriter is proud to lend her voice to raise awareness campaign of Maison Plein Coeur, located in Montreal, Québec, Canada.
In 2016, Curly released two albums of cover songs, Cover Sessions, Vol.1 et Cover Sessions, Vol. 2 as a tribute to artists she admires such as The Beatles , Janis Joplin , Bob Dylan, Jewel and Katie Melua , just to name a few. Her song Last Curtain Call was featured on ESPN TV show Highways to Fairways (2017). In 2017, the single Stuck in Your Comfort Zone (Curly/Gilbert Cantin) was heard in more than 60 radio stations across the province of Québec and Eastern Canada.
On June 23rd 2019, Julie releases the single "Un peuple, une voix" (Curly/Sylvain Deschamps). This acoustic song with folk/pop accents, aims to revisit the nostalgia of Saint-Jean-Baptiste fête nationale du Québec.
