Her 1st band was The Bluetail Flies, where she was a songwriter/back-up vocalist to her sister for 10 years. After the band broke up Wahl was lead vocalist/songwriter for the band Flypaper Blues, before breaking with the band to focus on her own songwriting & started Simply Put.
The bands EP “Hello, Baby” was a lifelong goal for Wahl who was learning to play guitar, writing songs and rehearsing between shifts at the local hospital and shuttling her 3 children between schools, and had never quite been successful at connecting her musically rich childhood on the East Coast with her adulthood on the West Coast.
Her 2nd album “Field Notes” was a testament both to her youth and father Robert Field, a lawyer/songwriter who now co-directs the Florida Intergenerational Orchestra with his wife/conductor Lorraine Marks.
Wahl’s discography includes Hello Baby 2018, Field Notes (2019) and singles 1 Lyfe and Christmas in June (2020). Wahl is currently recording her 3rd studio album.
